Gokyo Valley Trekking is most famous trekking in Khumbu. The trekkers, who are eager to explore wide range of mountains scenery and to be closed with nature beauties must visit Gokyo Valley trekking or Gokyo Lake Trekking.
This Trek  starts from Lukla after 35 minute mountain flight from Kathmandu, the trail following Dudh Koshi river valley towards Namche bazaar, where every Saturday bunch of people are busy buying goods. Near Khumjung village the busy trail break of towards the sleepy village of Phortse Tenga and finally reaching to our ultimate destination at Gokyo. The tiny settlement of Gokyo (4,750m) lies on the banks of the third lake in a series of small turquoise mountain lakes. Ascending on Gokyo Peak (5,360m), spectacular mountains view, the largest glacier of Nepal “Naozumpa” and over 8000m peaks (Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu) are visible at once. The view of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang (7922m) is most attractions in Gokyo Valley Trekking. During the visit Gokyo Peak, can explore beautiful fifth lakes and have only one chance of foot to head scenery of “Mt. Everest’. Again passing through Sherpa villages will also give you another chance to capture Namache Bazaar, lifestyles of high altitude dwellers on your way down to Lukla where a flight back to Katmandu awaits you.  The Gokyo Valley is perhaps the most spectacular of the trekking route in the Khumbu region and while the trail to Everest Base Camp gets close to the world's highest mountain there are those who suggest the view from Gokyo Peak offers the best panoramic view in the whole trip.
